Grace Lee

PROJECT BRIEF
Grace Lee, whose jewelry can be found at Steven Alan and Barneys locations across the US, was seeking to create a uniquely branded environment of her own, one that could function as both a showroom for her collections, as well as an intimate, private space for custom appointments.

The existing conditions of her DTLA loft presented two challenges:  a built-in kitchen ran the length of the space, and being

that it was a newly renovated lease, we could not add or remove anything structural.

DESIGN
After sitting in on several of Grace's custom appointments, we gained a better understanding of how she interacts with her clients and what functional and aesthetic elements she needed to transform the space and elevate the customer's experience with her brand.

We began by dividing the loft into four distinct sections—a private office, a showroom, a lounge and a custom appointment area—ensuring that each space flowed from one to the other. We then designed and fabricated a bespoke set of furniture, fixtures, lighting and decorative elements to help showcase Grace's jewelry in a truly one-of-a-kind environment.
